Maintenance Reserve Fund Management Program |

This program manages the maintenance reserve fund established under Paragraph 1 of Article 8-5 of the Wastes Disposal and Public Cleaning Law.

During the period of its active use, the operator of a waste final disposal site is required by the Wastes Disposal and Public Cleaning Law to deposit with the former Japan Environment Corporation the expenses necessary to maintain and manage the disposal site after the completion of reclamation. This responsibility was inherited by ERCA.

|
The creator of a final disposal site is allowed to withdraw the maintenance reserve fund when the reclamation of the site is completed, and the Agency is in charge of the management of the fund until the full amount is withdrawn by the final disposal site creator.
