A: The JFGE Management Council is created to provide opinions based on examination and deliberation on items important for the operation of the fund from the viewpoint of ensuring effectiveness, reliability, and impartiality for the Environmental Restoration and Conservation Agency in its operation of the Japan Fund for Global Environment.
The Council comprises a main committee that examines and deliberates on the general affairs for the fund and a specialists committee that examines and deliberates on the selection of recipients for the Grants Program from a expert viewpoint. The members of the council consist of representatives from academia, mass communications, economics, and all levels of society as well as those well versed in the situation of environmental NGOs.
