Research and Development Overview
In fiscal year 2025, we evaluated recycled materials against the unique performance requirements and quality standards demanded for automotive parts, aiming to select suitable recycled materials and identify potential technical and quality-related issues.
In fiscal year 2026, we will focus on compatibility verification using actual automotive components. Specifically, we will evaluate high-difficulty automotive parts, such as engine components and high-appearance parts (Figure 1), to confirm whether the required quality levels can be achieved.
Through these activities, we will clarify the relationship between the material properties of recycled materials and component quality, and verify the feasibility of applying recycled materials to automotive parts. In addition, we will systematically organize and accumulate the obtained knowledge as data, thereby contributing to the effective utilization of recycled materials and the development of a circular economy in the automotive sector.
